Playback

Starting faster, and subtitles that look right

Starting faster Written & measured Most films start straight away, but some take longer than they should before the first picture appears. That fix is written and measured on a test build. The first opening of a very large film still takes a few seconds, and shortening that has not been started.

Subtitles Written, not yet reachable Some subtitles look plainer than they should — the words and their position are right, the styling is not. Others are listed in the menu and then never appear once you choose them. The work to draw them properly is written and looks right in testing, but nothing in the app can reach it yet, and making the listed ones appear is part of the same job.

Watching on a TV

Fewer reconnections, more televisions

The interface Next up Choosing the next video from your library ends the cast, so watching a series means reconnecting for every episode. That is the next thing being worked on.

More televisions Exploring Muxivo sends video to AirPlay televisions and only those. Support for other televisions is being explored, and that work has a long way to go.
